The Career Assessment Program (CAP)
The Career Assessment Program is a psychometric testing program designed to give students an insight into their areas of interest, potential & personal qualities. This in turn is important in making suitable career choices. The program has the following specific objectives:
- help a student be aware of his interest, aptitude & personal qualities
- (for class X students) help in choosing the subjects (stream) at +2 level.
- guide him in options that are most suited
- guide in arriving at a career decision
- chart a career path to reach career goals

- Objective evaluation with the use of Psychometric testing
- Personalized one-to-one counseling session
- Guidance by trained Counselors
- Seminar for parents- “ A Systematic Approach to Planning one’s Career” [ OPTIONAL]
Program Features
- Interest Identification: Shows their preferences and inclination in different areas. The tool helps in gaining an understanding with respect to the student’s motivation and drive with a view to determine the direction in which they want to go occupationally.
- Aptitude Mapping: Determines the natural talent-special ability for doing, or learning to do certain kinds of things easily or quickly. The test will measure the student’s ability to think reason and learn in areas such as verbal, spatial, numerical and abstract.
- Personality Analysis: Gives an overview with respect to their personal qualities. Career Development research has shown that people search for, choose and remain in work environments that are compatible with their personality. Understanding personal strengths and areas for development are necessary to guide the students in their future career.
- Personalized Profile: The student is given a profile which includes a detailed description of his/her Interests, Aptitudes and Personality & Career options most suitable for him/her. The profile also gives helpful pointers on developing certain skill sets.
- Career-route Map: The student is guided in chalking out the career route most suitable to his/her unique aspirations and capabilities; clearly spelling out the degrees and courses that can be pursued.
- Recommendations on the most suitable career
- Career Literature: A brief write-up on the careers recommended including study route, eligibility criteria, premier institutes, personal characteristics required etc
- One-to-one Counseling: Trained career counselors will provide a one-on-one session to a student discussing his/her individual profile and help him chart a career path. The counselor will also provide valuable individual feedback on aspects of personality development and skill building.
